Introduction: Geode Earrings

About: I am a self taught artist who enjoys painting, photography, crafts, jewelry making, sewing and so much more! I've sold some of my art at Farmers Markets and other events. My first passion is cooking and baking…

This is a very easy jewelry project. When you brake geodes with a hammer, you usually have little fragments that brake off. This is one way you can use those little pieces that brake off!

Supplies

Needle nose pliers

Wire cutters

Thin Wire [ If the wire is too thick, it will probably brake some of the crystal part of the geodes when wrapping them in wire. ]

2 geode pieces

2 earring posts

Step 1: Wrapping the Wire Around the Geode

Wrap the wire around the geode, in any way you see fit. Just make sure you wrapped it so it can't come off. Also leave some extra wire hanging over the top. [ About a quarter of an inch ] Using the wire cutters cut off the wire connected to the bunch of wire.

Step 2: Making a Loop

Take the needle nose pliers and make a loop with the extra wire.

Step 3: Connecting the Post to the Geode

Open the end of the earring post, and put the loop you made on the geode though the end of the earring post. Close the end, and you're finished! Now you have a sparkly pair of earrings!
