I made this for my brother's Seattle wine-bar, the Poco Wine Room as a 'congratulations on your dream' gift.  The process was involved but the results were absolutely worth it!  The top (and it's identical mate) was teamed with the bases of his existing laminate bar tables.  Pressboard was gone and that beautiful maple was in it's place.

Impressive work, but your videos could be a bit more concise. Would it have been easier to round the top before doing the epoxy glass infill?

I did waste away most of the slab but I wanted a very sharp, crisp edge that cutting then filling didn't seep to provide. Sorry the videos are not the best but I was just starting and the process is quite involved.

This turned out quite excellent. what epoxies did you use? and do you think that small agates would work for this also?

I used a clear two part system from AreoMarine. I don't think you could cut the small agates with anything but a diamond blade. They make those you can bolt onto a tablesaw however. Wood blades would not cut the agates, diamond blades wouldn't cut the wood but yes I think it could be done.

thanks you. on your problem with the tape releasing and causing your blowouts a different instructable used a heavy duct/ gorilla tape to hold their epoxy in.
