Introduction: Gnocchi Without Potato and Egg

Gnocchi is made with potato as a basic ingredient. We can also make it with Bread crumbs as a substitute.

It taste like the usual gnocchi as well.

Lets go into the recipe.

Step 1: SUPPLIES

For Dough

All purpose flour (Maida) - 50 grams

Bread crumbs - 35 grams

I used bread crumbs of brown bread.

Salt.

For sauce

Butter - 2 tablespoons

Maida - 1 table spoon

Milk - 250 ml

Chili flakes - 1/2 teaspoon

Pepper - 1/2 teaspoon

Salt

Step 2: Making the Dough

Image 1: Take a mixing bowl, add maida, bread crumbs, and a pinch of salt.

Image 2: Mix all the ingredients and knead it to a soft dough.

Image 3: Roll the dough as shown in the figure.

Image 4: Cut the rolled dough into small pieces and dust it with some flour.

Step 3: Cooking the Gnocchi

Image 1: Take a pan and boil the water in it. Once the water is boiled add the chopped gnocchi dough.

Image 2: Once the gnocchi starts to float at the top, its cooked.

Image 3: Strain the water and take the cooked gnocchi separately.

Step 4: Preparing the Sauce

Image 1: Add the butter in a pan and melt it.

Image 2: Once the butter gets melted add the maida and fry it until the raw smell leaves completely

Image 3: Now add the milk and stir it without any lumps.

Image 4: The sauce starts thickening. Add the chili flakes, pepper, and salt.

Image 5: Cook the sauce well. At this consistency the sauce is ready.

Step 5: White Sauce Gnocchi

Image 1: Add the cooked gnocchi to the sauce.

Image 2: Cook for 5 mins.

Image 3: Serve it a plate.

The WHITE SAUCE GNOCCHI is ready.
