Have you ever gone to google earth and looked at those cool buildings. ever wanted to design one. well, here's youre chance.

STEP 1: What You Will Need

google earth
google skutchup: http://sketchup.google.com/index.html
a fast computer

STEP 2: Step One

once scetchup has started, chose the enginering mode.
now your gona wonder how to get from this:

look at sketchup training vidioes. and yes, watch alllllllllll of them or you will not know the shourtcuts

STEP 5: Make an Account

make an google accout by going to google and clicking gmail. use this account to sign in in sketchup

STEP 6: Before You Build

Please consider the folowing:
don't model houses, model larger more significant buildings
make sure it is not in google earth alredy

STEP 7: Build

go ahead, build. make sure it is accurate if you want it to go into google earth. done.

Hey, this is a great instructable and is very informative. Just one thing is missing... pictures! It really helps a lot when trying to follow directions so you should consider taking some photographs. Once you do that and leave me a message when you have so that we can publish your work. Thanks! Two things...first, this did not show us "HOW TO DESIGN models and buildings for Google earth", and second you need to proof read your instructable. Your spelling is bad, I found 3 different spellings for Sketchup. I have problems with spelling also, so I have a spell checker installed and running all the time. Remember, pictures will always show steps much clearer than words.

I don't mean to be mean, but I didn't like this at all. I love Sketchup and Google Earth, but this was really simple. When you say shortcuts on step 6, explain what shortcuts are. Does sketchup cost money? You should put step 6 where step 2 is, and 2 where six is. You learn how to do it before you get it. It was a really good idea, you should just elaborate more. If you don't have an onscreen camera, make the things in paint. Another thing, could you give an example buidling and show us how to make it? You said how to design, and you should us how to start. Check out mine on how to make a simple house, its like yours with sketchup and stuff.
