Halloween cork bats are terribly cute!

And terribly easy to create!

Supplies

You Will Need:

All you need are corks. (approximately 2inches in size).

Black felt.

Craft twine.

Black and white acrylic paint.

A paintbrush.

Scissors.

Hot glue gun.

Step 1: Print the Template

Copy-paste-print the pattern sheet.

Cut out the paper pattern for the wings and ears.

Step 2: Cut the Felt

I'm making 12 'terribly cute bats'.

With the thought on Halloween to gift away a bat to the little people trick or treaters.

So I needed wings and ears for 12 creatures.

You can pin the pattern pieces on the felt or just free-form cut them as I did.

Step 3: Glue on the Ears

Using a hot glue gun, glue the ears to the cork as shown.

Step 4: Glue on the Wings

Put glue in the middle of the wings and fold the felt around the cork as shown.

Step 5: Create Eyes

Paint white circles for the eyes.

(Dry with a hairdryer for fast drying)

Then paint the black pupil onto the eye.

(Dry again with a hairdryer).

#You could also use small-size plastic boggle craft eyes instead of painting them.

Step 6: Make a Hanger

Make a hanger.

Loop a piece of twine or ribbon and hot glue to the base of the cork.

Step 7: Hang the Bats

Then display it on a raw branch in a vase.

You could paint the branch orange, black or white.

But I have left mine naturally raw.
