Introduction: Hama Beads Earings

About: I am a former teacher at a danish bording school. I used to teach tech, making, creativity and innovation. Now I mostly design projects for students and makers and educational materials for teachers.

This is how to make hama bead earrings. When I first started making them I was afraid that they were kind of childish, but people really love them and I have made many for friends and family over the years. it is a cool way to personalize your look or gifts.

I use hama mini-beads, so I can make the earrings smaller and more dainty.

Supplies

Materials:

Hama mini-beads

Glue

Earring hook

Earring pin

Tools:

Iron

Baking paper

Hama beads plates - Square and circle

Step 1: Make Figure

Make a nice, cool or cute figure. If you want to use earring pins they should be small. They can be bigger if you use earring hooks. Here is four of my designs.

Step 2: Iron the Figure

Heat up your iron and put a piece of baking paper on top of your figure. Then carefully heat it up. Don't use to much heat and no steam iron!

When all the beads have melted together you can take the beads of the plate and turn them around. Put baking paper on the new side and also heat that one up.

Step 3: Earring Hooks

It is really easy to attach the earring hooks. Just put it through one of the bead holes.

Step 4: Earring Pin

To attach the earring pin, just use a drop of super glue on the figure and the place the pin on it.

Make sure that the glue doesn't get all the way through the figure.

Step 5: Finish

Now you have some nice custom earrings. Congratz!
