Intro: Hand Crank Table

Here is a DIY Hand crank mechanism style table that i recently made for a customer. I hope you enjoy it!

STEP 1: Make a Metal Base

You first weld up some square tubing like i show in the video

STEP 2: Parts You Need

Here are the parts that you will need.

-Pully

-Metal Epoxy

-Gold Thing available at BIG R

STEP 3: Put It All Together

It is pretty basic and works very Well!

What does the crank make the table do?

Nice project. Thanks for sharing! What would change in your design if you were to have a crank that could make the table go from a sit to stand position instead of a folding to non-folding like in your current project? I am interesting in creating a bench that I can crank from sitting on the floor and working to standing up and working (so from say a foot to 4ft)

Hey, thanks! I actually built one of those. I used a trailer Jack from harbor freight with a chain drive that I made to connect each side. I used the Jack and welded it into square tubing to hide it. It came out great. I have a short video of it in action on my Facebook page furniture by Jason
