Introduction: Holologo
Laser-cut box for displaying pseudo-holographic images (pepper's ghost) using a phone. The dimensions are fit for Nexus 5, so max 140mm height, 72mm width, 12mm depth. Should not be shorter than 130mm.
The project uses a semi-transparent reflection (i.e. glass) to display a floating 3D object projected by the screen of a smartphone.
Developed for MediaHackDay Berlin 2015.
Step 1: Cut the Parts
The rectangle should be from glass/transparent acrylic/transparent plastic, 1mm.
The rest should be about 4mm width material.
Glue all the parts together.
Step 2: Run an App on Your Phone
3D object on a black background works the best.
Don't forget the object should be mirrored.
