Introduction: Homemade Desk Organizer

A great way to keep pens, pencils and, erasers on a desk.

Supplies

  • hot glue gun
  • rope
  • ruler/measuring tape
  • hinge
  • paper
  • drill
  • pencil
  • scissors
  • wood

Step 1: Measure You Wood

you need to measure your wood so you have two 11" by 7" rectangles drawn out

Step 2: Cut Your Wood

you need to cut out your rectangles, i'm using a scroll saw but you can you what ever you want. make sure you wear safety glasses. sand it at the end.

Step 3: Putting on the Hinge

flip your two pieces so that the ends are together. your hinges will go right where they meet. you need to mark the holes and then drill the holes. make sure you wear your googles. now line up the hinge again so you can screw it in.

Step 4: Add the Rope

warm up the hot glue gun. you need to cut two pieces of rope that are 6" each. unfold it and line up the ropes. put a big glob of glue. do the same to the other side

Step 5: Make Your Pouches

take a square piece of paper and fold it into a triangle, next fold the two corners up. unfold and fold on layer of the top down, fold one corner back up and fold the top of it into the pocket do the same to the other side. repeat 5 more times

Step 6: Putting the Poches On

put a dot of hot glue on the top and push it on the top left corner repeat for all of the poches

Step 7: (optional) Clip

take any clip and glue it on the back

Step 8: Your Done
