Introduction: Homemade Flashlight

This is a fun and easy flashlight that takes no more than 10 minutes to make. It is small compact and will help you when you need it the most.

Step 1: Materials

To make the flashlight you will need:

  • 2 AA battery holder with a snap-type battery clip
  • snap-type battery clip
  • switch
  • white LED
  • 2 AA batteries

You will also need some materials:

  • soldering iron
  • galvanized wire
  • hot glue gun
  • hot glue

Step 2:

First you will need to clip the 2 AA battery holder with the snap-type battery clip to the snap-type battery clip and fold the wire around the battery holder so that it goes halfway up it.

Step 3:

Next you will need to fold one of the prongs on the outside so that it is horizontal to the ground, then solder the negative wire (the black wire) to one of the prongs.

Step 4:

Next you will need to solder the negative prong (the short prong) of the LED to the other prong of the switch, then solder the positive wire (the red wire) to the positive prong (the long prong) on the LED. Then you will need to put in the batteries to test the LED to see if it works, if it doesn't inspect your soldering and if you put the negative to the negative and the positive to the positive.

Step 5:

Place the LED at the front of the battery holder, then with the hot glue gun, glue the wires, the switch and the LED down.

Step 6:

The flashlight is now finished, you can see how good it works. You can attach the flashlight to glasses to your hat or any thing you want to, I think it helps a lot for doing things outside in the dark and it also makes a great normal flashlight.

Step 7: Conclusion

    Isn't it too much mA for the LED?

    you should use a 330 ohm resistor because how it is now is shorting out the battery.

    Long life to the Led ! And prepare to very often replace batteries.
