Introduction: Homemade Shunt for Measuring Large DC Currents

About: I just love electronics! Visit my youtube channel https://www.youtube.com/user/TestasChannel

In this video i show my homemade shunt for measuring large DC currents.
It's very easy to make it, it's only made of wood, thick aluminum wire, wire terminals and hot glue. It's very useful because you can use any multimeter to measure high current. Traditional multimeters measure only up to 10A while this shunt can measure about 100Amps. If you put longer and a lot thicker wire you can measure maybe 1000A. This thing measures amperage going trough it by measuring voltage drop at certain length of wire. If you like this video then thumbs up and Subscribe!
