Introduction: How to Create a Desktop Os Using Suse Studio

This works for windows and mac.

Step 1: Internet

Go to susestudio.com and sign in or create an account. After you are signed in click create new appliance. Then click on GNOME desktop and at the bottom choose the name.

Step 2: Software

After you have choose that click on the software tab in the upper right corner. Then scroll down to search software. Click the desktop option in the lower left corner and add multimedia, office, games, imaging, and gnome. Next click back to all groups and open games and add gnome games and frozen bubble or any other games you would like. After that install firefox and flash player by searching it. An extra if you want add Gedit (just search it).

Step 3: Configuring

After the software click on the config tab at the top right in that more tabs come and make sure you're in general. You can change your language if you need to or ask on first boot/startup. Then scroll down to users and groups and click add user you can change the password if you want. Next go to the personalize tab and change the background and logos if you want. Go to startup and change start in runlevel to graphical login! Skip over to the desktop tab and if you want click automatically login to that user you made earlier if you want.

Step 4: Building and Downloading

Click the build tab and choose live cd/dvd and the click build be warned if you put in more software it will take longer. After you clicked build it should start installing files and stuff. Your first build should only last about 10 minuets. A thing you could do is mess with the server settings or network. Also the flash drive doesn't uncompress everything until download I think but you're welcome to use it. If you have any questions please leave a comment. Thanks for checking out this instructable!
