How to Enable Smart Wake on Android Phones

Quite a number of latest smartphones come with Smart Wake: a feature that lets you get quick access to certain apps directly from the locked screen.

For instance, drawing an “e” on the smartphone’s locked screen will take you to your email box, while drawing a “c” will open the camera app.

Here’s how you can enable Smart Wake (Wake Gestures) on an Android phone. For this guide, DOOGEE Titans2 DG700 was used. Other phones may have a slightly different method but heading in the menus to access this feature.

Step 1: Step 1: Go to Settings

Turn on the phone, unlock the screen and head over to Settings menu. You can do that through the app drawer or by pulling down from the top right corner and tapping on the Settings icon. this looks like a little cog or gear icon.

Step 2: Step 2: Find Smart Wake Up

On DOOGEE Titans2 DG700 , you will see Smart Wake up directly in the Settings menu. You may have to scroll down a bit to find it.

(In other models, you may have to go to Accessibility and find Smart Wake Up/Smart Gestures feature there).

Step 3: Step 3: Enable Smart Wake Up

Once you tap the Smart Wake Up option, a new menu will open, you will see the option to toggle the feature on. this is in the top right. Once you do this, you will also see a list of smart wake symbols below and the apps they allow quick access to. these can also be turned on and off individually in case you don't want to use them all.
