Introduction: How to Make a Felt Bow

I am going to teach you how to make a felt bow to put I your hair. Just follow these easy steps, and if you make these bows a couple times, you can make them in under 3 minutes! In fact, the bow I made in the pictures for these instructions took me less than 2 minutes to make. Follow these instructions and you will be a pro! Without further ado, let's begin.
Step 1: Materials
The materials needed for this project are:
- scissors
- hot glue gun
- felt
- ribbon*
- some kind of clip (barrette, alligator, etc.)

Step 2: Cut the Felt
Cut the felt a size that you want. For me, about 4 inches by 3 inches works best, but it's up to you!
Step 3: Start Making the Bow
Fold the felt in half, hotdog style. Then fold it the other way, and then the other.
Step 4: Secure the Bow
You can use either a ribbon or felt for this.
Instructions for ribbon:
Glue the edge of the ribbon onto the top of the bow. Then wrap it around the bow a couple times to secure it. Then glue a small part of the ribbon onto the back of the bow. DON'T CUT.
Instructions for felt:
Cut a long, rectangular piece of felt that is proportional to the size of your bow. The felt has to be able to go around your bow, so don't cut it too short.
Glue the middle of the piece of felt onto the top of the bow. Fold the felt over and glue one side of the felt on the bottom of the bow.
Instructions for ribbon:
Glue the edge of the ribbon onto the top of the bow. Then wrap it around the bow a couple times to secure it. Then glue a small part of the ribbon onto the back of the bow. DON'T CUT.

Step 5: Add the Clip
For the ribbon:
Glue the clip onto the ribbon on the back. Then wrap the ribbon around the bow again, and this time, cut the bow so that you can put it through the clip. (For barrette clips, slip it through the bottom. For alligator clips, open it and put it over the bottom of the clip.) Tighten the ribbon, and glue it right next to the clip. Cut the remains.
For the felt:
Glue clip onto the back of the bow. Slip the felt through the bow (look for instructions above) and glue it next to the clip. Cut the remains.
Glue the clip onto the ribbon on the back. Then wrap the ribbon around the bow again, and this time, cut the bow so that you can put it through the clip. (For barrette clips, slip it through the bottom. For alligator clips, open it and put it over the bottom of the clip.) Tighten the ribbon, and glue it right next to the clip. Cut the remains.
For the felt:
Glue clip onto the back of the bow. Slip the felt through the bow (look for instructions above) and glue it next to the clip. Cut the remains.
Step 6: Finished!
