About: Paper airplane maker: 400+ designs so far and more in development!
Fast, shapely and economical, the Stratohawk paper airplane is a simple plane that can perform the most complicated tasks.

TAA USAF Designation: F142-1

Step 1: Materials

Required:
1 Piece of 8.5 by 11 inch paper
Tape
Scissors
Optional:
Pencil

Step 2: Length and Corner Folding

First, fold your paper in half along its length. Then pull the corners of the paper in.

Step 3: Pull the Nose Down and Prepare to Cut

Pull the paper down along the bottom of the corner folds. Then fold the paper up with the "dirty" side outside.

Step 4: Cut and Pull Your Paper

Cut a 1 by 1 inch square out of the front (the side of the paper where you folded the nose down) and out from the center of the paper. After the cutting is done, pull the corners in.

Step 5: Make the Security Fold and Wings

Pull the small triangle up through the 2 by 1 inch hole and crease it down. Then fold the plane in half and the wings down to the center (bottom) of the fuselage.

Step 6: Tape Your Stratohawk

Perhaps in the simplest step of this instructable, simply tape the rear of the aircraft up.

Step 7: Flight

Your Stratohawk is now ready to fly. Throw it like a dart and watch it streak. Enjoy!
