Intro: How to Take a Great Photo of Your Pet

It can be hard to get your pet to pose pretty for a picture. I tried everything with my over active Holly monster dog and here are some of my best photo tips! - Woof!!!

Quick Tips:

1. Wash fluffy the night before and don’t over feed your pet before your photo shoot.
A clean and happy fuzzy wazzy should be a little more easier for you to work with.

2. Take poopykins outside. Natural light will prevent the crazy glowing eyes.

3. Make your pet stand out. If you have a small pet, place your pet on a table with a bright colored cloth. For larger pets, find a plain wall or background.

4. Get the shot. You may have to lay on the ground, stand on a chair, hide in your car or any number of other crazy things to get the shot or your pet looking cute.

5. Show off your pets photos to all your friends and tell them about this instructable.

Best of luck!!!

Thanks for sharing! She/he? is so cute!
Thank you, I just told holly that you think she is a "hot mama"! <3 lol =D
I personally would add to your list to give it time. You will eventually get the picture you want.

It took me quite possibly 15 minutes each for these shots of my cats.
Oh yes, you sure do have to give it time. =) <3
I usually find sneaking up on my dog works best. Nice instructable
aww what cute pics lol! <3
Very cool instructable, wish I had thought of it! See my pet contest entry so you can have something cool to do with your pic, I think you may enjoy it!
Darn, I had the same idea for an instructable! Can I post one a little different?
Sure,I dont see why not =D
Nice shot of a black dog - they are difficult to get a good photo of. Outdoor light on geen grass seems to provide the right amount of contrast. I have gotten good pix by balancing a frisbee on my head. That gets my dog's full attention and an ear-lift (I think this falls under step 4). A play session to get them panting helps too.
