Introduction: How to Build a Farmhouse Rustic Nightstand

My wife came home from walmart one day with a set of wooden crates. With her "babeee, I wantttt..." face, she said she wanted me to create her a set of nightstands with a farmhouse rustic twist. So I put on my hunny-do gloves and got to work.

Supplies

2- large wooden crates

stain color of choice

stain rag or brush

wood glue

wood clamps

Step 1: Purchase Crates

Go to walmart or your local crafting supply store and find two large wooden crates and any other supplies you need that you do not already have at home.

Step 2: Stain Crates Desired Color

Start with staining the boxes in the desired color using a stain rag or brush.

Step 3: Gluing Crates Together

apply a small amount of wood glue on one stained crate (this will now be referred to as your bottom crate)

Step 4: Stacking Crates

Stack your other crate on top of the crate with glue, and place the clamps onto them, this will help to hold them together while the glue dries

Step 5: Decorate and Enjoy!

Place in your space and decorate as you please!
