How to Complete a Fishtail Braid

Start with clean, brushed and detangled hair.

Supplies

Any: Hair tie, Scrunchie, ponytail.

Step 1: Step 1

Separate the hair down the middle of the head. This does not have to be exact, but it helps if its even.

Step 2: Step 2

Section of the hair into two equal parts.

Step 3: Step 3

Take a small section of hair from the underside of 1 side.

Step 4: Step 4

Wrap the small section around the top of that side of hair.

Step 5: Step 5

Add the small section to the other side of the hair.

Step 6: Step 6

Take another small section from the underside of the other side of hair.

Step 7: Step 7

Wrap the small section around the top of that side of hair.

Step 8: Step 8

Add it to the other side of hair.

Step 9: Step 9

Continue the same technique with the rest of the hair, keeping the sections tight in your hands so they don't unravel.

Step 10: Step 10

When you have braided all of the hair, secure it with the hair tie, scrunchie, or hair elastic.

Step 11: Step 11

You're done!
