Introduction: How to Cook a McDonalds Big Mac (But Better)
This recipe is easy to make at home and you'll be surprised how tasty it is compared to a McDonalds Big Mac.
One of the best elements is the Big Mac sauces, you’ll find the recipe in the video and it tastes amazing!
Step 1: Setup Either a Mincer or Food Processor With the Cutting Blades.
Add diced beef chuck
Diced bacon
Season with salt and pepper
I can’t stress enough how much better your burger will be if you make them from scratch.
Step 2: Pulse the Food Processor for a Start to Cut the Larger Pieces.
Continue to pulse under the meat it minced, if you’re in the US minced meat is called ground.
I like my burgers to have a fat ratio of 70% meat to 30% fat, this will give you juicy, tender burgers.
Step 3: Now the Beef Is Minced, Take a Hand Full and Mould Them Into Patties.
These are thick but just before placing them on the grill I will flatten them out some more
Step 4: Next We Are Going to Make the Big Mac Sauce!
In a bowl add:
½ cup of whole egg mayonnaise
1 Tbsp sweet relish
½ Tbsp American mustard
½ Tbsp white wine vinegar
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp sweet paprika
Mix together and set aside.
Step 5: Next Dice One Onion.
Then slice a hand full of crisp iceberg lettuce into strips.
Cook your bun into thirds.
Step 6: Setup Your BBQ for Direct Cooking
Step 7: Once the BBQ Is Nice and Hot Place Your Burgers on the Grill.
We are
going to cook these burgers for 2 to 3 minutes on each side.
Flip the burgers, the first side now has a nice sear.
Cook for another 2 to 3 minutes, also don’t forget to toast the bun.
Step 8: Layout the Bottom and Middle Slices of the Bun.
Spoon on a layer of our Big Mac sauce.
Follow with a layer of the diced onions
Then a layer of the iceberg lettuce.
On the middle bun, add a layer of pickles.
On the bottom layer a slice of America cheese.
Finally, place your burgers on each bun.
