Introduction: How to Create a Classroom Norms Poster

Today you will be creating a digital classroom norms poster by using the learning tool PixTeller. You create 5 originally classroom norms that you think are important. Next, you will use the different features bring your poster to life. Then, you will save your poster and share it to your email address.

Supplies

  • Desktop computer or Laptop
  • Pre-written list of classroom norms
  • Google email address

Step 1: Template Selection

  • First, you will need to select the poster temple collection.
  • Next, you will need to select pre-designed poster temple or create your own poster temple from scratch.

Step 2: Adding Text

  • By clicking the Add Text button on the left hand side of the menu screen, you will then begin to type the text of your poster.

Step 3: Establishing Text Font

  • After you have entered your 5 classroom norms, you will choose a font that best delivers the overall tone of your text.

Step 4: Editing

  • By clicking the + and - symbols in the left hand side of the menu screen, you will edited the size of each set of text. You will use the + symbol to increase the size of the text font and use the - symbol to decrease the size of the text font.

Step 5: Adding Images

  • By clicking on the image icon on the left hand side of the menu screen, you will search, select, and add images to your poster. Be creative!

Step 6: Adding Color

  • By clicking on the color option on the left hand side of the menus screen, you will add color to your text.

Step 7: Save It

  • After you have successful designed your classroom norms poster, you will save it. By clicking on the save icon, you will create a title by using you first initial, last name, and classroom norms (ex. T. Hastings Classroom Norms).

Step 8: Download & Send

  • Then, you will click the download option in the top right corner of the menu screen. This will take you to a full size screen of your poster. Lastly, you will click the share button underneath your poster and enter in your Google email address into the box. When you are finish you will click the submit button. Congratulations, you have successfully completed your first digital poster!
