Freddy from PoorManMods shows you how to install lowering springs by installing a set of God Speed lowering springs on a 2013 Chevy cruze. This is a step by step for the chevy cruze, but the overall process can be applied to many vehicles.

Supplies

Spring Compressor https://amzn.to/32typ44

Pass through socket set https://amzn.to/3ySeIPI

Step 1: Remove the Front Strut

Remove the front strut:

  1. Remove the top nut
  2. Raise the car up and remove the wheel
  3. With a pass through socket and allen wrench remove the nut from the sway bar end link
  4. Remove the 2 bolts securing the bottom of the strut
  5. Remove the Strut

Step 2: Remove Front Spring

  1. Use a spring compressor to compress the spring
  2. Once compressed remove the top strut nut
  3. Remove the spring from the strut
  4. Place the new/lowering spring onto the strut
  5. Compress the spring and install the top nut

Step 3: Reinstall Front Strut

  1. Reinstall strut into car
  2. Reinstall the hardware you previous removed
  3. lower car onto the ground, allowing strut to protrude through the mount in the engine bay
  4. install top washer and nut

Step 4: Remove Rear Spring

  1. Place a jack/support under the control arm or rear beam
  2. Remove the lower shock bolt to allow control arm to drop
  3. remove the spring

Step 5: Install Spring

  1. Install new/lowering spring
  2. Align shock and reinstall bolt
  3. Remove jack/support
  4. You're done!
