Intro: How to Make Beef Empanadas

Beef Empanadas or turnovers are a delicious finger food that does not require a fork and knife with this steak empanada filling I promise with these beef empanadas you will be the talk of the table.

Ingredients for Beef Empanadas

10 goya turnover discs

1 lbs of finely cubed skirt steak

3 minced garlic cloves

1/3 finely chopped onion

1/3 finely chopped red pepper

1 tsp chili powder

1 tsp coriander

3/4 cup of beef stock (veggie stock)

2 tbls soy sauce

oil for frying

STEP 1: Saute Onion & Garlic

Chop up your onion and finely chop your garlic. You want to saute them until translucent and they get aromatic should take a few minutes.

STEP 2: Brown the Beef

So once the onions and garlic have made love add your skirt steak and brown your beef you don't want to caramelize just brown it .

STEP 3: Lets Start Prepping the Filling

Meat is now nice and brown its time to add our condiments and red peppers into the pan make sure to mix and incorporate all of the ingredients well.

STEP 4: Final Touches for the Filling

You want to bring the heat down a little bit and add your stock and soy sauce. Now we want to reduce the sauce until all the liquid has evaporated.

STEP 5: Form the Empanadas

Do grab your turnover disc and stuff it with the meat filling making sure you leave a gap on the edges , the reason being is you want enough pastry so your able to crimp the empanada shut .

STEP 6: Fry and SERVE

Once all your little friends are formed its now time for the best part well besides eating them , its time to fry them on each side until golden crispy leave on a cooling rack for a few minutes and ENJOY!

Not sure these taste as good as the ones we get at the local Cuban restaurant. So if you could send me a dozen or so, I can make a proper comparison. Yea that's the ticket. :-)

Lol this literally made me tear up in laughter and sure thing were should I email you the dozen empanadas lol
Well, if you can reconstruct them when I received them via email to their original taste, sure, go ahead. Otherwise I am eagerly waiting for the well package Fed X package to arrive. :-)
