Introduction: How to Make French (Dill Pickle) Fries

If you love pickles and you love fries , you will really enjoy these french fries marinated in dill pickle juice! Serve with sour cream, dill and garlic dip on the side!

Step 1: Empty a Jar of Pickles

That's easy enough right? Empty the jar and save the brine from your home canned pickles or your favorite store bought pickle.

Step 2: Prep Your Potatoes

  • Peel and slice your favorite type of potato and place in the brine and refrigerate overnight.

Step 3: 24 Hours Later........Get Ready...It's Fry Time

Drain your marinated potatoes in a colander and remove the dill or spices you don't wish to fry. I personally like some of these goodies fried, you decide!!

Let drain well, at least for about 15 minutes.

Step 4: Fry Baby Fry

Heat oil of your choice ( I like peanut oil). Add fries in small batches until done, draining on a paper towel. Salt as needed, serve!

Step 5: Great Side Dish for Burgers and Dogs!!

Serve with ketchup, or any other condiment of your choice. We love these with a sour cream dip made with 1/2 cup sour cream, 1/8 teaspoon of dill, 1/8 teaspoon garlic powder and pinch of salt.
