Introduction: How to Make Homemade Ice Cream

DIY ice cream in a bag!!!

Step 1: Gather the Essentials

  • 1 sandwich size ziploc bag
  • 1/2 cup half and half
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • ¼ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 3 raspberries
  • 1 gallon size ziploc bag
  • 4 cups of ice
  • 1 cup of rock salt
  • Measuring cups
  • Pair of winter gloves

Step 2: Get the Sandwich Size Ziploc Bag

Take the sandwich size bag and gather the following essentials:

  • 1/2 cup of half and half
  • 1 tbs of sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon of vanilla extract
  • 3 raspberries

Step 3: Combine the Ice Cream Ingredients in the Bag

    1. Add the 1/2 cup of half and half
    2. Add the 1 tbsp of sugar
    3. Add the 1/4 tsp of vanilla extract
    4. Add the 3 raspberries
    5. Seal the bag

    Step 4: Put the Ice Cream Bag to the Side

    1. After sealing the sandwich size Ziploc bag, and making sure it is sealed tight, set it to the side.

    Step 5: Get the Gallon Sized Ziploc Bag

    Take the gallon sized bag and gather the following essentials:

    • 1 cup of rock salt
    • 4 cups of ice

    Step 6: Combine the Ice Mix Ingredients in the Bag

      1. Add the 4 cups of ice
      2. Add the 1/2 cup of rock salt
      3. Leave the bag open

      Step 7: Combine the Bags

      1. Double check that the sandwich size bag is completely sealed
      2. Place it on top of the ice and salt in the gallon bag
      3. Completely seal the gallon ziploc bag

      Step 8: Put on the Gloves

      1. After sealing the gallon sized bag, put on the gloves so they do not fall off easily.

      Step 9: Make the Ice Cream

      1. Shake the bag for 5 minutes

      Step 10: Then You Have Your Homemade Ice Cream!

      Open the bags after the 5 minutes, and you have your ice cream!
