Introduction: How to Make Pineapple Salmon

This is a dish that is a family favorite at my house. It’s a meal that is not super heavy, with a tremendous amount of flavor, and is paired well with risotto and a side salad. If you are looking for new ways to make salmon, this is a great recipe to just for that!

Supplies

• Sharp Knife

• Cutting Board

• Measuring Spoons

• 2 Cup Glass Measuring Cup

• Parchment Paper

• Cooking Spray

• 10” X 15” Rimmed Baking Sheet

Step 1: Gather Ingredients

• 3 pounds whole salmon filet with skin

• Kosher Salt

• Pepper

• 1 15 ounce can of pineapple rings, in own juice

• 3 tablespoons melted butter

• 3 tablespoons sweet chili sauce

• 2 tablespoons fresh cilantro, chopped

• 1 heaping tablespoon garlic, minced (about 4 cloves)

• 2 teaspoons fresh ginger, minced

• 2 teaspoons sesame oil

• ½ teaspoon crushed red pepper flakes

Step 2: Preheat the Oven to Approximately 350 Degrees.

Step 3: Line the Baking Sheet With Parchment Paper and Lightly Spray With Cooking Spray.

Step 4: Arrange the Pineapple in a Large Triangle the Length of the Pan.

Step 5: Season Both Sides of the Salmon With Salt and Pepper and Place Skin Side Down on Top of the Pineapple.

Step 6: Chop the Cilantro

Step 7: Mince the Garlic and the Ginger

Step 8: Melt the Butter in a Glass Measuring Cup

Step 9: Whisk Together the Melted Butter, Chili Sauce, Cilantro, Garlic, Ginger, Sesame Oil and Red Pepper Flakes.

Step 10: Spoon the Butter Mixture Over the Salmon and Sprinkle With the Sesame Seeds

Step 11: Bake for 25 Minutes

Step 12: Broil for 2 to 3 Minutes Until Slightly Caramelized
