Introduction: How to Make Skeeball With Ease!
Hi! I am Travis Hoogstra I attend Illiana Christian Highschool and I decided that I wanted to make my favorite arcade game in a way that allowed me to play at home. For my design, I used marbles as a smaller skeeball.
Supplies
Required
- CNC
- Fusion 360
- Table Saw
- Drill
- 6ft of 1ft by 3/4inch wood of choice
- 12* 2in Screws
- Marbles
Optional
- Laser Cutter
- 3⅓ft of acrylic
- 4* 2in Nails
- 4* 2in Screws
Step 1: Sketch Your Design
I first brainstormed how I wanted my game to work then I came up with a rough sketch of my idea.
Step 2: Design Your Game in Fusion 360
I designed the components, then I connected them with the join feature.
Step 3: Cut Down Your Stock
I took my original piece of wood and cut it into the base I used the remaining wood to form the back and cut the game face.
Step 4: CNC
I used the CNC to cut the holes in the game face of the board. I also cut out the bottom stop to keep the marbles from rolling down the ramp.
Step 5: Start Assembly
After I used the CNC to cut out the holes in the top board I predrilled some holes and started screwing everything together. For the last part of assembly, I added a ramp to launch the marbles onto the board for some sweet skeeball action.
Step 6: *Optional*
In this last step, I used some acrylic to keep the marbles from bouncing out of the game space!
Step 7: Enjoy!
Now you are done and can have fun playing skeeball with friends and family.
