How to Make Special K Bars

Intro: How to Make Special K Bars

 I'm going to teach you how to make Special K Bars. 
 They are a tasty chocolate treat with a hint of peanut butter.

STEP 1: Ingredients:

 2 C light Karo syrup
 2 C sugar
 1 1/2 C peanut butter
 1 T vanilla
 6-8 C Special K cereal
 1 bag chocolate chips
  1/2 bag butterscotch chips

STEP 2: Mix

 Mix Karo syrup and sugar. Bring to a boil.
 Add peanut butter and vanilla.
 Stir until completely melted together.

STEP 3: Add Cereal

 Put cereal into a very large bowl, add melted mixture to that, mix well.

STEP 4: 9x13

 Pour into 9x13 cake pan.

STEP 5: Next:

 Let cool.

STEP 6: Frosting

 Melt together chocolate and butterscotch chips.
 Pour over cooled bars.

 ENJOY!!

I was wondering how you got your chocolate to melt so nicely.

 Here in the Midwest, I've mostly heard them called Scotcharoos, but they usually make them with Rice Krispies. A little too sweet for me, but other people love 'em.
