Introduction: How to Make Timer Device for Any Electrical Appliances

About: I like to make diy electronics, electrical and life hacks projects.

Hello everyone,

This is akash from how to bro youtube channel.... I will show you how you can make a simple timer device to control your home appliances...... Before enter the project first watch the video.....

Step 1: First Watch the Video

Step 2: Design & Order the Pcb

In this project I make the pcb using easyeda tool & order the pcb on jlcpcb.com..... They provide good quality pcb at very cheap prices..... I order the green colour pcb.....They provide 10 green colour of pcb under $2 at first order..... This is the cheapest deal anyone can get.... To order the pcb

Order procedure....

1. Open jlcpcb.com

2. Choose the layer....

3. Upload your gerber file

4.Choose you quantity & colour.....

5.Fill up your shipping adress & shipping method...

6.Pay according to your payment method....like paypal or credit card/debit card....

Your order is placed....

Step 3: Components Required

To make this circuit the following components are required....

1.IC 555

2.Bc 547 transistor

3.8 pin ic base (optional)

4.103 pf

5.12v spdt relay

6.12v power supply

7.1k resistor*3

8.15k resistor

9.1n4007 diode

10.led (any colour)

11.power cable to supply the 220v...

12.1 megaohms potentiometer

13. 33uf capacitor,25v or 16v

Tools.....

1.Soldering iron with flux

2.Wire cutter

Step 4: Assemble the Circuit

Now connect all the components to the pcb & solder it carefully......

Step 5: Connect the Power Supply & the 220v Load

Now connect all the external supply like 12v power supply & the 220v supply ...to the circuit

Step 6: Calculate the Time

To calculate the time download the timer app to your smartphone....

Procedure....

1. open the 555 timer app...

2.click on monostable mode

3.Choose the resistor & the capacitor according to your required time....

Step 7: Now You Are Done...

Now your circuit is ready to use....

you can use it to any electrical appliances like fan,tv,mobile charger etc....

also you can modify the time by using the 555 calculator....
