Introduction: How to Make a Bird Feeder Out of a Shoe DIY

About: I'm Connor. I’m passionate about building things and working on creative projects. I enjoy stuff like LEGO, diecast models, and different kinds of crafts and I'm very sporty. I like coming up with ideas, figur…

The reason why I made this project is because they're two birds who built a nest in our roof and we named them Bob and Sheila, everyday that normally come sit at a doorstep. We normally feed them bread and crackers, but then I had a brainwave and decided why don't I make a bird feeder and so I did

Supplies

  1. Fishing line
  2. Shoe (make sure it's not too stinky )
  3. Bird feed
  4. A tree (make sure it's decent enough to hang your bird feeder on)
  5. a needle(to make a hole in the shoe, also be careful with this item)

Step 1: Thread the Fishing Line Through the Shoe

First of all you need a needle to poke holes into the top of the shoe. You must do this on both sides of the shoe. Next thread the fishing line through the two holes.

Step 2: Putting the Bird Seed in the Shoe

This is a really simple step and all you have to do is put your bird seed in and maintain its balance by spreading it out evenly.

Step 3: Find a Place to Put Up Your Bird Feeder

In the image above I used my garage to hang my bird feeder on but you can hang it on a tree. I I hammered a nail into the wooden structure to hold the bird feeder, then I tied a knot in the fishing line and hung it on. And there we are you are finally finished your bird feeder. (In the image above I tied a double knot I tied two of them just in case.)
