Intro: How to Make a Book Without Glue, Staples, or Tape

There is a way to make a book without tape, glue or staples.

The materials you need are:
-Paper
-A Pair of Sisccors

You might need many sheets of paper based on what you are making, but keep this in mind one sheet of paper equals 4 pages.

This is my first instructable so please rate and comment it. U w U

Pay atention to the captions

STEP 1: Fold It

First you fold the paper in half hamburger style.

STEP 2: Cut the Beef

Time to use the sisccors do what the captions in the picture tell you.

STEP 3: More Cutting

Now cut along this line.

STEP 4: This Is the Last Time You Will Use the Sisccors

For this step fold the paper in half hamburger style

Now take the other piece of paper and cut like this...

STEP 5: Insert

I dont know how to explain this. T_T

Just follow the pictures.

Oh and by the way to add more pages just follow step 4&5 you would need more sheets of paper if you do this.

STEP 6: The End

There you have it no tape, no glue, and no staples

I think you should use better lightting. But other than that you did amazing

The spelling, the grammar, the picture quality, all perfect, but the information is key.

This is so nice! One of the greatest paper tricks I've known! One of them is making a 3D pyramid in a quick way. I know you didn't ask :).
this is awesome!!! just tried this out... how did i ever manage to live without this!!! thanks!!!
Nifty instructable - looks kind of like the 'slot and tab' binding in Alisa golden's 'Making Handmade Books' but with a different method of cutting the paper. Nice!

You can adapt this for thicker paper by making diamond cuts instead of a square slot, and cut triangular wedges from the top and bottom instead of slits. Basically you just make the openings bigger to allow for the thicker sheets.
Thought I would help with the words of how to do this.

Bend (fold but don't crease) the second sheep of paper length wise.
Slide it though the slit made in the first sheet of paper.
Unbend the second sheet so it's slits fit in the first sheets folded joints (connections).

This is a cool idea of how to make a book I like it.
couldnt have said it any better. thanks lifeforce
:) I lovee this method of "book-making".

My teachers in middle school used it a lot.
Thanks for reminding me :O I could totally do this for my niece.
Thanks so much for this incredible way to make a staple-free book! I am using the idea to make a birthday card for my little grand-daughter. I want it to have four pages but I didn't want to use staples since they're not safe for a little person. Such a wonderful and safe design -- thanks again! P.S. -- you're right the "putting it together" steps are hard to describe in words but the photos do the trick.
Nice man, <----- asian eyes!
May I suggest having a picture for your intro step (this way it will be more catchy to any random passersby) Otherwise not bad, keep up the good work. Purduecer
