Here's a really cool science project that won't require much money to build. It also makes a cool decoration for your room.

We've all seen those models of an atom made on a foam ball. Well, let's face it. Those are not very creative and kind of boring.

Here's how to make it in a creative way that simulates the movement of the atom.

Difficulty: Easy
Instructions
Things You'll Need:
  • 3 hula hoops
  • 1 shower curtain loop
  • some fishing line
  • 3 tennis balls
  • 1 knife
  1. Take the three different hula-hoops and tie them them at the top and bottom with fishing line.

  2. place a shower curtain loop at the top for hanging.

  3. Use fishing spinners to string the three hoops together, one inside the other.

  4. Make an incision in each tennis ball that is long enough and wide enough to push onto the hula hoop. These are the electrons.

If you don't want to use tennis balls, you can also just paint some electrons on each hula hoop

  5. Loop some fishing line through the shower curtain loop and tie it off. Now, you can hang it from the ceiling.
