Introduction: How to Make a Stop Sign Prop
This is a tutorial for how to make a stop sign prop.
Step 1: Materials
For this project we used an exact knife, foam, a ruler, red, silver and white acrylic paint, a speed square,a marker, painter's tape, paint brushes, and sandpaper.
Step 2: Outline the Sign
The sign we made had 8 ten-inch sides with 135 degree angles. Use the ruler and speed square to measure perfect and straight angles.
Step 3: Cutting the Foam
Cut the foam first in a square with an exact knife. Use the ruler as a guide for a straight cut. Then cut off the corners using the same method.
Step 4: Paint and Retouch
Paint the sign with the red paint. Tape the edges 1 centimeter in, leaving a 1 centimeter gap between the tape. Paint with silver paint between the tape. Sketch "stop" using a marker and paint with the white acrylic paint. Touch up, then stand back and admire your work.
