Introduction: How to Make a Wind Vane

A simple project for beginners, displaying the wind direction on an oled display and Arduino board

Step 1: What You Will Need

1x1k resistor

1xArduino nano (or any oder Arduino board)

1xpush button

1xoLed display

1xrotary potentiometer

Visuino software

or

IDE for Arduino

Step 2: Wirring Diagram

Make the connections of the components according to the diagram below


Step 3: Start Visuino Software or Arduino IDE and Upload the Code

  The code is generated in the Visuino software, but you can find it below in IDE format for Arduino.Upload the code to the Arduino board'  To start programming the Arduino, you will need to have the Arduino IDE installed from here: https://www.arduino.cc/. Step 4: Project Testing, Execution Ideas

At this point, tests are done and assembly in the housing


Step 5: Play Project

If you power the Arduino board,the circle with the cardinal points and the indicator arrow will appear on the screen, which will indicate the wind direction depending on the position of the potentiometer.
