Introduction: How to Make an Eyeball Ornament for Halloween

Here are six simple steps to make an Eyeball Ornament for Halloween!

Step 1: Materials

  1. 1 or 2 small paint brushes
  2. Blue paint (dark blue)
  3. Red paint
  4. Black paint
  5. White paint
  6. Clear ornament with removable top
  7. Plate or palette for paint

Step 2: Paint the Inside White

Take the top off the ornament and add about 1-2 table spoons of white paint to the inside of the ornament. Move the ornament around to spread the paint and cover the whole inside. If the paint is too thick to move around then add a small amount of water to it and mix it so that it gets thinner. Add more paint if there is not enough to cover the inside.

Step 3: Dry

Let the ornament dry. This should take about 30 minutes to dry depending on how much paint you used. Once the paint is dry then you can add the top back on or wait until it is completely done.

Step 4: Paint the Center Circle

Paint a circle in the middle of your ornament with black paint and a paintbrush. The circle should be about 1/2 an inch in diameter. Make sure to fill it in!

Step 5: Paint the Middle Circle

Paint another circle directly on the outside of the first one using a paintbrush. This circle should be about 1/4 of an inch wide and can be any color. In this example it was grayish blue. To make this color you use, light blue, dark purple, and black. You have to experiment to get the right color. Start off with light blue then add a tiny bit of black and purple to make it darker.

Step 6: Paint the Outside Circle

Paint the final circle black using a paintbrush. This one should be the last circle you paint, it should be about 3/8 of an inch wide if you want it to look like the one in the picture.

Step 7: Paint the Veins

When painting the veins take a small paintbrush and paint red semi squiggly lines coming out of the black. Then paint smaller lines coming off the part that is connected to the black (as seen in the picture). You may also draw a tiny white dot in the center circle to make it look like the eye has a glare.

Step 8:

Let it all dry and then you should have an eyeball ornament for halloween!
