Introduction: How to Market a Product You Make - Camera Base Station

Howdy, In this Instructable, I'm going to show you how to market a product that you have made. To do this, I'm first going to walk you through the creation of a product that I made, in this example its called the Camera Base Station, and then I am going to show you four simple steps ways to market it

Supplies

Here are the supplies that I used to “Create the Product” in the first step, and the “supplies” for example the tools and software, that I used in “Crafting the Promotion” (Step 4).

Step 1: Creating the Product

The first step to even begin the process is creating your product, here I have the resources I used to create the product I'm using for this Instructable. You can gather whatever supplies you can find and start brainstorming or putting it together. The next two photos show the middle process and the final product of the Camera Base Station.

Step 2: Setting the Price

Next step after creating your product is setting the price for it, Now that can be done in many ways but for a simple method is taking the cost of all the items you have gathered to make your product and adding them up, after that you can determine how much you want to increase the price. That can be done by a percentage based method or a flat rate of increase.

Step 3: Choosing a Place

Next step is finding a place to promote and sell your product. This can be done in a good bit of ways. It comes down to who you want to sell your product to, for example, the Camera Base Station can be Sold to anyone as a way for them to monitor their home, property, office space and so much more. But promoting is different. It is finding the best balance of information and the audience you are wanting to attract to.

Step 4: Crafting the Promotion

Next is actually crafting your promotional materials. There are many ways to do this but the 3 most common ways is a Billboard, Radio Station, and a 3 panel Brochure. The Images show concepts of the Camera Base Station in those different formats. One being the Billboard, Second being a concept of the Radio Station Ad in writing, and Third being the 3 Panel Brochure. Those 3 common ways are the easiest ways to promote to a general audience, and creating the images is easy with the software Photopea. A free tool to edit images so you can create your own masterpiece to show to the world.

That about wraps up an easy way to Market a product you made. I Hope this helps and Good luck on your marketing venture!
