Singapore’s entertainment hub, Sentosa Island, is visited by 5 million people annually. Step 2: Getting There and Around
Sentosa can be accessed on foot via the Sentosa Board Walk, the Sentosa Express starting from level three of the Vivo City Mall, the Sentosa Gantry, by car through the connecting bridge and by cable car. The board walk starts from Vivo City Shopping Mall’s waterfront promenade.
Getting around Sentosa is a breeze as there is an efficient public transport system comprising of buses and beach trams. Buses on the busiest route operate every 10 to 15 minutes while those on other route operate between 15 to 20 minute and every half an hour. The beach tram service runs every 10 minutes. Bus and tram services run from around 7 am to 10.30 pm. The Sentosa Express offer transport between the beach and Imbiah Station.
Step 3: Things to Do - Resort World Sentosa
RWS for short is an integrated resort comprising of a casino, Universal Studios Singapore and Voyage de la Vie.
Universal studios set in 20 ha boasts 24 attractions of which 18 have been specially designed is the top attraction. There will be no time to visit anything else once you get caught in the buzz here. Step 4: Underwater World and Dolphin Lagoon
Located at Silso Point this humungous oceanarium has 2,800 marine and fresh water animals of 250 species. Located underground an 83 meter long travellator transport people through a glass windowed tunnel enabling them to see an array of marine life. A dive with the sharks programme offers visitors a chance to dive into the oceanarium. Dolphin Lagoon is the other attraction here where visitors can swim with Indo-Pacific Hump Back dolphins.
Step 5: Other Attractions
Tiger Sky Tower among the tallest observation towers in Asia at 110 meters, Butterfly Park and Insect Kingdom with 15,000 live butterflies of more than 50 species, the 37 meter high Merlion with two viewing galleries at the top, Fort Silso and Madame Tussauds Singapore are among the attractions. For immersive movie experiences try Sentosa 4D Adventureland, South East Asia’s first four dimensional theater. MegaZip Adventure Park with steep zip wires, scary aerial rope courses and rock climbing wall in Mt Imbiah and Wave House on Silso Beach with a Double Flow Rider that generates a 10 ft. flow barrel are among adventure sports options in Sentosa.
