How to Print With a 3D Mech Pen?

3D mech pens help you with your creative journey. It’s available in different colors and filaments. It’s held by hand and doesn’t work with software or motors.

Melt the plastic filament and force it through extruder tip. Once the plastic filament leaves the pen, it cools down and hardens quickly and you can make any shape that you desire. Step 1: Select the Pen and Select the Filament

Step 2: Set the Temperature

Set the temperature according to the filament that you are using. And then, heat it. Most models show indicator lights when it's hot enough to use. Insert the filament- once the filament is set to the down, pull the extrude button.

Step 3: Speed Setting- Adjust the Speed Accordingly

Select a nice clean surface to draw on. You can also use stencils here. The hotter the plastic when it makes contact with the paper, the better it will stick.

Reinforce any weak areas once the overall shape holds itself together. You can always go back and add drops of plastic to it. To have the model in perfect finished look, go back and trim the bad weak areas with a pair of scissors.

Step 4: Ideal for Modifying and Repairing Objects

A 3D printing pen is great for modifying and repairing other 3D printed object. If you have an object that was created on a desktop 3D printer, you can use a 3D pen to add details to it.

Step 5: Freehand Drawings in Space

The ability to make freehand drawings is space is probably the most important feature of the 3D printing pen. It is also the most difficult to make drawings. Making drawings in empty space is extremely difficult. One needs to practice quite a lot before you can make nice shapes.
