Intro: How to Turn the Bottom of a Plastic Bottle Into Flowers!

You have used a portion of a plastic bottle for something (maybe an Inverted Planter perhaps) and you dont really want to waste the bottom of the bottle...

Never fear, here's what you do.

Cut around the bottom grooves so that you have one piece that looks kinda like a flower.

Punch some holes, or use a hot needle to make holes.

Gather some string, fishing line, dental floss, or those metal craft rings.

String them together and VIOLA! You have an instant wall hanging, doorway curtain, or privacy blinds for your window.

Or you can also make a hole in the middle of them and insert a LED into each of them for some pretty flower lights!

You can also spray paint them to get different effects and colors.

Very fun, useful, and great to set up for kids, especially as doorway hangers.

Brilliant idea

What method do you use to get precise cut on the soda bottle? How quickly can this be done? My husband and myself join with you in the fight against cancer. It will be 30 Years for his first cancer and now fighting again for bladder and kidney cancer. Prayers are with you and all that suffer!

i bet some glow in the dark paint would look great at night.

Oh so the idea was from Michelle Brand or are you Michelle Brand? Just curious because I saw that pic with the 3 hanging flowers infront of the sofa on Michelles tumblr. The green flowers are gorgeous! Love them
I started gathering bottles for this! By chance do you remember the shade of green you used? Looks so pretty! Also which brand if bottles do you use? I can't seem to find the right shaped bottoms
Wow! Looks so amazing!
Looks great, but the link to your inverted planter Instructable takes us to a deleted project.
