Introduction: How to Tie: Stevedore's Knot
The Stevedore's Knot is a type of Loop used to create a bulk in a line to prevent the rope from passing through holes.
Step 1:
Begin with your rope lying flat on the table with the live end above the dead end.
Step 2:
Bring the live end over the dead end.
Step 3:
Bring the live end under and around the dead end.
Make sure your knot's bight is staying still and not unraveling!

Bring the live end over the dead end once more.
Step 5:
Now take the live end back under and around the dead end.
Step 6:
Take your live end over the twists and through the loop.
Step 7:
Tighten it up!
