Step 1: Open Playstore

  1. Scroll up to go to Apps
  2. Go to Playstore

Step 2: Turn on Parental Controls

1. Click on your picture in the top right hand corner

2. Go to settings

3. Click on the drop down arrow to the right of family

  1. It says Parental control and parent guide

4. Go to Parental controls

5. Flip the switch to the right to turn it on

6. Create a pin

7. Click Ok

8. Confirm pin

9. Click Ok

Step 3: Set Content Restrictions for Apps & Games

1. Click on Apps & Games

2. Type pin

3. Click Ok

4. Select the content restiction

  1. You can choose:

- Everyone

- Everyone 10+

- Teen

- Mature 17+

- Adults only 18+

- Allow all, including unrated

  1. If you get a pop up, click got it

- The pop up says "Parental controls restrict purchases or downloads from Google Play. Apps & Games already installed will still be visible on devices".

5. Click save

Step 4: Set Content Restrictions for Movies

1. Click on Movies

2. Select the content restiction

You can choose:

- G

- PG

- 14A

- 18A

- R

- E

- Allow all, including unrated

  1. If you get a pop up, click got it

- The pop up says "Parental controls restrict purchase or playback of movies from Google Play".

5. Click save

Step 5: Set Content Restrictions for TV

1. Click on TV

2. Select the content restiction

  1. You can choose:

- C

- C8

- G

- PG

- 14+

- 18+

- Allow all, including unrated

  1. If you get a pop up, click got it

- The pop up says "Parental controls restrict purchase or playback of TV shows from Google Play"

5. Click save

Step 6: Set Content Restrictions for Books

1. Click on Books

2. Select the content restiction

  1. You can select:

- Restrict sexually explicit books

  1. If you get a pop up, click got it

- The pop up says "Parental controls restrict access to sexually explicit books in Google Play"

5. Click save

Step 7: Exit Settings and Go Back to Playstore

1. Click the back arrow

2. Click on the back arrow again
