How to Use Gas MQ-6 With SkiiiD

A tutorial to develop Gas MQ-6 with skiiiD.

Step 1: Launch SkiiiD

Launch skiiiD and select New button

Step 2: Select Arduino UNO

Select ① Arduino Uno and then click ② OK button

*This is Tutorial, and we use Arduino UNO. Other boards(Mega, Nano) have the same process.

Step 3: Add Component

Click '+' (Add Component Button) to search and select the component.

Step 4: Saerch or Find a Component

① Type 'Gas' on the search bar or find the Gas MQ-6 on the list.

Step 5: Select Gas MQ-6

② Select Gas MQ-6 Module

Step 6: Pin Indication and Configuration

#4 then you can see ③ pin indication. (You can configure it.)

*This module has 4 pins to connect

skiiiD Editor automatically indicate pin setting *configuration available

[Default Pin Indication for Gas MQ-6] in case of Arduino UNO

A0: A0

DO: 2

GND: GND

VCC: 5V

After configuring pins ④ click ADD button on the right below side

Step 7: Check Added Module

⑤ Added Module has appeared on the right panel

Step 8: SkiiiD Code of Gas MQ-6

skiiiD Code is intuitive function-based codes. This is based on skiiiD libraries

getData()

"Return ADC value."

isDetected()

"If detected data is lower than standard retrun true, else return false."
