Step 2: Work With Acrylic Color Part 1
In this article we instruct you how to work with acrylic colors. The most important point which I have to mention it here is that because of acrylic colors don’t clean, we use it as under color and then surface color. Look at carefully to this tableau. (Figure 1)
The most important point is that if we want to perform this technique by gouache, the color that comes under flowers and leafs, if later we wanted to super made it by green and red colors, it will combine with under color and dirt our color and we can't do it by gouache. Because gouache will be clear by water, so we work with colors like acrylic. Different parts of the tableau worked with acrylic color, like colors under cypress tree and under structures that is under these flowers and all parts of tableau worked with acrylic. (Figure 2)
The point I should refer about acrylic colors is that this color don’t use alone and combine with different mediums. The acrylic color will dry very soon and because you can’t clear it, you should work fast. The medium we use now, cause a delay to dry your acrylic color and let us more work on our colors. Because in acrylic colors, we use integrate colors and create forms in the work, we need more time. Mediums have different functions, one medium which I use now to create a delay in drying time of the acrylic color. (Figure 3)
Another medium is using for integrate the colors. Some mediums are also using to crack the colors, and other functions. Now I make colors we need then I start working. We pour a little medium of acrylic color which has a Jelly-like on the palette. (Figure 4)
Be careful to combine acrylic colors by hair-brush well. Mix color on the palette to combine micro lits in the color. We took colors we wanted. Combine jelly medium with water by hair brush. Remember that we can combine medium with color before pull it on the surface but for the surfaces like this which is small, it is better to pull it on the surface. I choose white color, and cover the whole work by white color. (Figure 5)
You can work on ears later because they are separate. The beats of your hair brush by acrylic should be very small and short till the trace of hair brush don't remain on the surface. While you are working, if your colors swell, don't scare to put the color on the surface because when acrylic color dried it will be sediment. If you look at carefully at model which I am working on it, the white color is our under color. (Figure 6)
The most important and the most difficult part of the work by acrylic is colors that scattered in the first color (I mean white color here in this part), the moisture of under color causes these conditions. I work the orange color on the nose of the animal and the violet color which are like spots on the animal body and the darkness under ear, back of ear and other parts. (Figure 7)
When we add the second colors and stains, it depends on your work and experience. The time of drying acrylic color is three minutes and the medium you use, make this time longer. When our colors become more dried, we start to put stains.
Step 3: Work With Acrylic Color Part 2
Now our color dried a little. We add orange color on the nose of the animal by smaller hair brush. When you put the color, turn the hair brush and form your color. (Figure 8)
To form the second color in the first, the nib of the hair-brush should be dry. I am working on the darkness behind the ear. By back of the dried hair-brush, form and scatter colors. (Figure 9)
The medium on the surface, give you more opportunity to form the color. Do not let to create cloud and wind form in your work. I work back of the ear. There is a layer of orange color behind ear which I add it now. (Figure 10)
I dry the hair brush and form the color which I added before. Pay attention that our hair brush should be clean, because the surface of our work is white and has a bright color and a little dense turned it dirty and ugly and destroy our work. I perform the stains on the head in this way. The intensity of color in some parts is little and by little beats we create these stains. (Figure 11)
We can say that acrylic color is the best one, because of its capabilities and performance and technique that we can perform. In this part our general coloring is finished. In the next step, we can start pardaz. (Figure 12)
Step 4: Work With Acrylic Color Part 3
You can compare painted part with that part you see in the tableau. As I told you before in previous articles, if your under color was the same as the principle one, the super making and pardaz will be ok. We start pardaz. There is not any difference between pardaz in this work with prior work, then try to use acrylic in pardaz because of its quality, clearness and performance. In this part we do pardaz and we do construction on head of animal, tip of nose and under the eyes. (Figure 13)
In parts that we worked, we don't have other work except stresses and little points. (Figure 14)
You can draw the principle form from inside before use hair brush. The emphases which I mentioned before are very little and brief. In this way I emphasize on some parts. We don’t work on these parts very much since we want to have intricate colors that we created. Take care that our color is not dried totally and the medium we used first caused to make this delay. In this part because I want to perform elegant lines in the drawing I use hair brush. I perform line pardaz. (Figure 15)
As I told you before, in drawing, work on several parts at the same time and do not work on one part. (Figure 16)
Again we take pardaz hair brush and we do pardaz of the top of eyes.
Step 5: Work With Acrylic Color Part 4
I use pardaz hair brush. I pardaz some parts as faint spots. I stress on environmental lines. (Figure 17)
In some places, I add very faint orange color as a watery color. We work behind of ears as the chin. At the end I am going to point out the capabilities of acrylic color and you can have new draws and innovations with this color by your experience. In this article I explained something that you need to work by acrylic colors in miniature. I hope that these articles will be affective for you. Now you can compare the colors and the second stains that come on the under color with the drawing which I worked on it. (Figure 18)
