How to create a jellyfish costume using only cardboard

Step 1: Introduction

The purpose of this school project is to construct a marine-themed costume using only cardboard and flat-pack construction. I have to build a jellyfish costume out of cardboard using flat-pack construction. The specifications for this project are:
1. The costume must be made of cardboard.
2. A middle-schooler must be able to wear the costume.
3. The costume has to be marine-themed
4. The costume must be constructed using flat-pack construction.
The only limitations for this project is that it can only be made of cardboard, and nothing else.

Step 2: Materials

The only material that is needed is cardboard(S1)

Step 3: Making the Body Square

1. Use the ruler(T3) and the pencil(T4) to measure out a 1 foot by 1 foot square on the cardboard.
2. Put the cutting board(T1) beneath the cardboard, and use the utility knife(T2) to cut out all of the squares.
3. Cut two slits on both sides of the square with the utility knife(T2), each slit directly opposite to the slits on the next square.
4. Repeat these steps 12 times.

Step 4: Making the Tentacles

1. First, use the ruler(T3) and the pencil(T4) to make a strip about 21 inches long, and 1 1/2 inches wide.
2. Then, put the cutting board(T1) underneath the cardboard, and cut out the tentacle with the utility knife(T2).
3. Next, cut slits at the top of the tentacle directly in the middle of it with the utility knife(T2).
4. Repeat these steps 6 times.

Step 5: Part List

1. Body square(P1)
2. Tentacle(P2)

Step 6: Putting the Squares Together

Match up each square with the square next to it, and slide it into each other at the slits.

Step 7: Putting the Squares Together, Continued

Take 6 squares to start out with, and make sure to match each slit with the slit next to it. You must also make sure that the first and the last piece have slits that match up to each other as well.
