Introduction: How to Fold a Shirt From Paper Money

You would like to gift someone money but you don't like to simply put it into an envelope or a card?

No problem, just fold the bill like I'll show you in this Instructable and tell your presentee you give your last shirt for them :)

Step 1: Make a Center Line Lengthways

Fold the bill along it's length and back so you get a center line.

This is only a visual helper line for the next step.

Step 2: Fold the Outer Parts to the Center Line

Now fold the two outer fourth of the paper to the center line.

Step 3: Fold the Sleeves From the Upper Middle Outwardly

On the upper part of your bill fold two triangles from the middle outwards. The longer leg of the triangle should have roughly double the length of the short side. This results more or less in a isosceles triangle for the sleeves (see upper green triangle in next step).

Step 4: Fold the Bottom to the Back

On the bottom side of the bill fold a small bar to the back. It should be rather 5 mm (1/5th Inch) wide. This is going to be the collar of the shirt.

Step 5: Fold the Collar on the Bottom to the Center Line

Next fold the actual collar on the bottom of the banknote. As you can see on the picture the fold doesn't go all the way to the middle line. Approximately one third of the way from the edge to the center is left out. Instead the tip of the resulting triangle should rest on the middle line.

If you are unsure about how the result should look like have a look at the picture of the next step.

Step 6: Bend the Shirt From Bottom to Top

Then bend the shirt in the middle. Don't fold it yet since you have to figure out the exact position.

Step 7: Turn the Shirt Around

Afterwards turn the shirt to the other side.

Step 8: Bend the Upper Part Down

Now bend the upper part further down to the collar.

Step 9: Put the Upper Part Under the Collar

Place it under the tips of the collar and do the final fold on the bottom of the shirt.

That's it!

I hope you and your presentees like your dinero shirt :)
