STEP 1: Things You Will Need.

This is a materials list of the things i used to install the light

STEP 2: Step 1 Test the Lights

This step is optional but I find its good to know that the bulbs are good.

just connect one end of the wire to the contact and touch it to the battery terminal then touch the bracket of the light to the other terminal.

STEP 3: Installing the Headlight

Take the headlight and attach the mounting bracket to it with a nut and bolt and then attach it to the forks (see photo).

STEP 4: The Tail Light

First wire the tail light [see photo] and then attach it to the Fender/rack mount.

STEP 5: The Wires

Attach the wires to the headlight terminal first making sure to leave enough slack to be able to turn fully left and right. Then run the wires towards the dynamo and attach them frame using zip ties and do the same for the tail light and trim off the excess zip tie.

STEP 6: The Dynamo

First attach the dynamo to the mounting bracket [see photo] and the attach the dynamo to the seat post using the other half of the bracket and two bolts and nuts be sure to press the contact wheel firmly against the wheel to insure good traction.

STEP 7: Final Step

simply attach the end of the wires to there matching terminals H=headlight T= tail light and you are done!

How do i know what is on and off positions
There is a little metal flap you can pull up on, that will cause the dynamo to disengage with the wheel (off). To re engage you can twist it back towards the rim (on)
How do you know the engaged position from the disengaged ( power on and off)
Great instructable! Where can I get a bracket for the headlight?
Normally they come with the light on Amazon or Ebay.
Do the contacts on the dynamo need to be insulated from rain/water?

Thanks for the tutorial, I like dynamo lightning more than battery powered. However, also take attention that the dynamo is tilted correctly, so its elongated axis is exactly meeting the wheel hub axle, otherwise the dynamo will slide and grind on the tire.

Great instructable, really helped me !
