How to Make a Survival Bow / Whip

This is my first instructable .

It 's about making a Whip which can also be used as a bow.

It's definitely not the most beautiful design, but it's a fun way to recycle things.

Step 1: Materials/tools

The Materials are:

- Arrow

- A metal pipe a bit longer then your arrow where youre arrow fits in smooth

- Old bicycle tube which is not needed anymore

- A pencil cap which fits into the metal pipe

Tools:

- Scissors

- Hot glue gun

Step 2: Step 1

Cut the valve off the bicycle tube. You can save it for an other project

Step 3: Step 2

Glue the pencil cap into one end of the metal pipe with hotglue

Step 4: Step 3

Cut a small piece long as your finger from the bicycle tube

Step 5: Step 4

Make a knot into the small piece

Step 6: Step 5

Make a knot into the long piece

Step 7: Step 6

Twist the large tube on the metal pipe.

(on the end where you have glued the cap in the pipe)

Step 8: Step 7

Twist on the small piece on the other side. You have created a water proof container inside the pipe where you can store survival tools like fishing line with hooks, fire starter...

Now your whip is finished

The transformation into a bow is very easy:

You just have to run the tube down the pipe and wrap a couple of times around the pipe, then you have to slip the end under the tube running along the pipe as you can see in the next picture

Step 10: Step 9

Shooting is very easy you just have to take the arrow and hold in the middle of the tube with two fingers and with the other hand take the pipe ;pull ; shot and have fun ;)
