STEP 1: Paint Colors in Order You Put It On

you can get these paints in tubes at cabela's or any place where they sell hunting supplies probably

1.leaf green

2.mud brown

3.flat black

STEP 2: How to Put It On

first if you want it to come of easy smear some baby lotion on your face
now cover your whole face in the green paint now put some lines of brown on your face and add some dots of black

STEP 3: Finally

rub the paint on your faceso it gets all overand your done go snipe some noobs or bring home dinner

No offence meant but if this is done correctly from a military point of view, it must be american or some other country. In the AUSTRALIAN military camo paint is never put above the eyeline. This is because when you sweat some of the paint may get in your eyes. The army issue camo paint in Australia has chemicals in it that will make you go blind. also lines should be avoided as they are too easy to see. Only use rough, blobby splotches with no back ground layer of green or somthing. Also what Hitman227 and Cheese duck said about light and dark colours is correct. mattyuke has also got the right idea. Again from an Australian point of view. I've got no idea how Americans do it. but I would include a warning for anyone using Australian camo paint.

I disagree with nunchucker. There is an art to camoflauge painting, and just like any art, there are certain rules you have to follow if you want to get it right. As nunchucker said, in leafy woods, desert areas, or barren snow, you should use the blotch method. This is because the vegetation around you is more prone to blotches and spots than stripes: (The leaves in the woods, the small stones and lumps in desert sand and in snow.) However, in areas such as an evergreen forest, or jungle areas, you will want to use a broad slash type pattern. This will be because the environment is more prone to broad lines such as the vines and limbs in the jungle, and the cones and separate branches of the evergreen trees. In areas with tall grass and brush-type vegetation, you will want to use a narrow slash-type pattern. As before this is because the area around you has a tendency to run to smaller, thinner lines. [The individual stalks of grass, and the small twig-like branches of the underbrush.] In all of these, you will want to look at the colors around you to decide what colors to use. What is the dominant color? What colors are most often seen next to each other? As was noted earlier, someone who wants to hide at really close range can use camoflauge to reduce the natural shadow patterns of the body. If you want to do this, pay special attention to the spaces between the fingers, the area under the nose, and the "V" shape that occurs where the arms join the body, as well as in the crotch area. All of these are things that our eyes are instinctively trained to look for in order to identify a human body. If possible you should wear a scarf or some other material around your neck to reduce the rather obvious shape of a head being on a body. Use camoflage cloth to span the area between your arms and your body as well as between your legs to make your body appear to be one solid lump instead of a group of limbs and digits that is easily recognizable in the wilderness. When applying camoflauge to the hands, you should use lighter colors between the fingers and darker colors on the rest, this way the natural shadow pattern of your hand is diminished. When coating the ears, a different color should be used on the insides than what is on the back, so that the pattern will be broken. Follow these rules, and you will be very well off. *Note: I am not sure what type of environment is present in Australia, but I am sure that the camoflauge that is used is to the best advantage of your area, I only disagreed with the part where you said "Only use rough, blobby splotches with no back ground layer of green or somthing." Because this is case specific and should be taken into account that it is standard only in the area where you operate. Also, honestly, what is so wrong with being American these days? Please take into account that nationality and race should not be brought up in either comment or criticism. That waym, you don't accidentally offend anyone. *I posted this before, but I felt like it didn't say everything, so please don't get upset with two similar comments.

Maybe next time make an instructable about something you are experienced or knowledgeable in. It also wouldn't hurt to do some research, especially if your instructable is more "how-to-do" rather than "how-to-make".

For instance, when applying camo paint, you could remind people to put darker shades on areas of the face that normally stick out, like the nose, cheekbones, and chin. These areas generally reflect more light, so making them darker breaks up the face better.

The trick is to not make repetitive lines as you don't get that outdoors. It needs to blend more and have the colours in all directions randomly. And if you put too much on it goes shiny which makes you easier to see

You may want to change the title. When I saw this I thought it told you how to make the paint itself, not how to put it on.
