Introduction: How to Play GBA Games on IDevice (NO Jailbreak)

About: GummiBear

I've always been a fan of jailbreaking. All the cool tweaks, free apps, and most importantly, the Gameboy Advance Emulator (Pokémon FireRed, here I come!) My first experience jailbreaking was with my dad's old iPhone 3GS. It was really slow, had a horrible battery, and lots of scratches, but it did the job. What I really wanted to do was jailbreak my own iPod Touch 4G so I could play Pokémon in the car, or at school. You might say, why not just take the old jailbroken iPhone with you? Well, it doesn't have a case and I don't think its worth buying a case for it, and it cannot hold a charge for more than an hour. But all I really wanted was the GBA Emulator (Called GBA4iOS). So, one night I looked up "GBA4iOS, no Jailbreak" There was the usual ton of scams and surveys, but one thing I found worked extremely well! I tweaked it a bit to make it easier, and I guarantee it works 100%!                                                                                                                                                                                             ***Note: All pictures will be screen-shotted from the iPod Touch because I couldn't figure out to save a PrintScreen on my computer. I will point out whether you do the step on your iDevice or on your Computer.

Step 1: Plug in IDevice

Plug your iDevice into your computer.

Step 2: Change the Date

***THIS STEP IS CRUCIAL TO THIS WORKING. YOU WILL CHANGE IT BACK LATER SO DO NOT FRET***       Go   On your iDevice, go to Settings>General>Date & Time.  Turn OFF Automatic Time Setting, and move the YEAR to 2012. (Any date before July 15,2013 will work, 2012 is just easier)

Step 3: Moving on to Computer!

You will need to have 2 things installed.  iFunBox: http://dl.i-funbox.com/       GBA4iOS .ipa File: https://mega.co.nz/#!JtU3AbZa!egzcHkF3nQ_stPisj5r94mUZ8GJuKoRKggG3EbfWpl0

Step 4: Open Up IFunBox

Open up iFunBox. You should see 5 tabs labeled as: iFunBox Classic, Managing App Data, Quick Toolbox, Find More Apps, and the name of your device.  Make sure it shows the name of your device, then click on the iFunBox Classic tab.

Step 5: How to Get to Your Apps

Click on your device, then click User Applications (Should have the app store symbol)  Now you are going to want to click on the Install App button right underneath the "Find More Apps" bar at the top. Hopefully you should see the GBA4iOS file. Just click that and wait a bit and YOURE DONE!

Step 6: Changing the Time Back

BACK TO IDEVICE NOW. Open the app once, close it, then go back to your time and change the date back. Now you are free to play it whenever and wherever you want! Oh wait, you want some ROMS? Just click the Search tool in the top right corner, click on the top link, and search your favorite gba game!
