I disagree. Also, if you write something that means two things in a row, unless they are the same, you write the first one how it would be in real speech.

You way over simplify. Although I'm not particularly into 1337, there's much more to it than just substituting numbers for letters. You should research it a bit more. I'd start with the wikipedia article.
