A PTC relay is a device that is used when the fridge compressor motor starts. A fridge with a faulty PTC relay cannot start or continuously clicks on and off unable to start. This instructable shows how to test a PTC relay to determine whether it is broken or not. If you test the relay and it is indeed broken you can note the part number and order replacement.

The relay and overload of fridge compressor pass the continuity test. Other parts are OK. Compressor 3 pin show 10, 44 and 53 ohm. Fridge is tripping frequently. What is the problem?

got 50 ohms vice versa both two connector. is it broken?
